She graduated from Kirkwood High School before attending William Jewell College, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi and earned her B.A. in Education. Ann began her career at Worlds of Fun in 1975, where she completed her 43rd year of employment. Ann was a lover of books, board games and all things Disney, and would take a pilgrimage to the “Happiest Place on Earth” as often as possible. Ann was a mentor and a trusted confidant to so many colleagues she had the pleasure working alongside. Her spirit is carried on by her family, friends and extended park family.
Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Fay. She is survived by her best friend of 43 years, Becky Baker, “The Girls” Susan Green, Arla Edelbaum, Patti Cupp, nephews Travis (Stephanie) Baker and Adam (Cassie) Baker, four great-nephews George, Elias, Paxton, and Oliver, and several cousins.
Your magical journey filled with family, friends, fun and fantasy created wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. You allowed us to dream and create magic at each turn. We love you and know that you are in a special place where when you wish upon a star, your dreams do come true. Until we see you again.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Give Kids the World, in her memory. Give Kids the World Village is an 84-acre, nonprofit “storybook” resort, located near Central Florida’s most beloved attractions, where children with critical illnesses and their families are treated to weeklong, cost-free dream vacations.
