Marta was born to the late Jose Antonio Garcia and was survived by her Mother Maria Angela Rivera, in Ocotal, Nicaragua on January 1.
Marta was Blessed with a small but loving family, she married her husband dale in burbank, California on July 29, 1984. They then Raised their two daughters Marta Lorianne and Elisabeth Marie, to be independent, kind, and strong. Marta often took her children on many trips around the world to submerge them in cultures they might have not known otherwise, in doing so she instilled a wanderlust, and love and respect for all peoples and cultures in them. It was very important to Marta to also share and guide her children and Grandchildren with her faith in God which led them to have a lasting relationship with him. Marta also was very active in her Niece Sophia Michelles life often referring to her as a third daughter and loved her as such, wishing to also instill in her, the important values with which she raised her own children.
Marta started her journey with college in Nicaragua, completing 3 years university for economics..
When Marta made her way to the united states in 1974, to join her mother Maria, she went to college in los angeles at the los angeles city college completing her associates in arts. Then Marta, who was so eager to show how proud she was of her adopted country joined the National Guard Reserves, as a tactical wire operations specialist. When she was honorable discharged she then continued her education in salinas by completing her real estate licencing. However that wasn't enough for marta when she and Dale made the move to the central coast she then decided to pursue her career as a Nurse. Marta first started her career as a nurse, by volunteering at Twin Cities Community Hospital, she then became a LVN through Alan Hancock College, continuing to work at Twin cities. while working she then pursued her Bachelors in Nursing, Graduating from Alan Hancock College.
Although Marta Finished her education with her Bachelors she was always eager to learn and broaden her education.
Marta started her career in real estate in salinas, california. While she was in school at alan hancock college she started as an LVN at twin cities community hospital,where she worked for 6 years. when she graduated with her bachelors in nursing she then became an RN there. She loved working at twin cities but her calling was to work in King City at Mee Memorial Hospital which she did for over 22 years. Marta always expressed how much she loved her patients and all of her wonderful co workers, who to her were like a second family.
Marta was preceded by her father, jose antonio garcia, her father in law Donald Gordon Bollam, and Mother in Law Judy Bollam.
