George Wesley Brandon III age, 87 of Tazewell, TN was born August 26, 1931 and passed away February 3, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. George was a lifetime farmer who loved his land and cattle and working alongside his family. He was saved when he was eleven years old and joined Little Mulberry Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for sixty-two years. He was superintendent of Sunday School for over forty years. Each day he got up early to spend time with his Lord in bible study and prayer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his father and mother George Wesley Brandon II and Vida McNeil Brandon. Father and mother-in-law Elbert Walker and Grace Walker. Sister-in-law Helen Jared. Survived by his bride of sixty-six years Wilma Brandon. Son George Gatlin I (Ginger) Brandon. Daughters Vivian (Jack) Bradshaw and Carol Brandon. Grandchildren Melissa Brandon, Julia (Jared) Dingus, George Gatlin II (Carla) Brandon, and Kelly George (Jessica) Bradshaw. Great grandchildren Dustin Frazier, Kolby Dingus, George Gatlin Brandon III, and Lucas Bradshaw. Sister-in-laws Mary Ruth Edds and Genell Cavin. Brother-in-law Junior (Betty) Walker, Jeff (Teresa) Walker, and John Jared. And a host of nieces, nephews, church family, and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday February 6th from 5 until 7 P.M. at Little Mullberry Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 7 P.M. The graveside service will be Thursday February 7th at 10 A.M. in the Monday-Brandon Cemetery.
