He was born on March 17, 1925 in Leachville, Arkansas. Pat proudly served in WWII as a paratrooper in the 17th Airborne Division. After the service, he graduated from the University of Missouri earning a Bachelor of Business degree. He entered the business world at Lacks Appliances in Houston, Texas before working for Montgomery Ward as manager for the appliance department for 25 years. He co-owned Fast Print with his wife until finally “retiring” at 90-years-old. They were also involved in real estate for 30 years.
Pat loved to work and engage with people as much as he loved his family. He always enjoyed activities, from concerts and theatre, to motorcycles, camping, boating and skiing. Generally, anything fun. He always had a smile, a tune to whistle or sing and an unmatched sense of humor that kept him forever young at heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman (Clarence) and Muriel Doom; brother, Bobby Doom; sister, Imogene Mason; son, Tim Doom; granddaughter, Misha Davis. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Doom; children, Dan Doom, Mike (Patty) Doom, Michelle (Jason) Dibbens, Ryan (Jeni) Doom; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
