Born in Kingston, a daughter of the late Everisto and Ermelinda (Grazioli) Malaguti, she was a long time resident of Acushnet. Mary attended Fairhaven High School and was a communicant of St. John Neumann Church. She was employed for 30 years at Imperial Cleaners and later she was employed as a clerk at the Candy Jar and Gift Shoppe for 20 years.
She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, she enjoyed cooking, crafts and spending time with her friends. She was a member of the Golden Girls at St. John Neumann Church.
She is survived by a son, Raymond Galuska and his wife Lynne of Acushnet; a daughter Anita Howland of Assonet; two grandchildren, Scott Howland and his wife Michele and Kerriann Malatesta and her husband Christopher, four great-grandchildren, Gavin, Nolan, Sheena and Rory; and her great grand-dog, Maizie May. She was the sister of the late Evelyn Whittaker, Ada Paradis, Anna Gould, Dante and Leseio Malaguti.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 9:00AM from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, followed by her funeral mass at 10:00AM in St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Road, East Freetown, MA. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
