Barbara H. Steward

Barbara H. Steward, age 95, passed away on February 6, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Swedesboro, New Jersey on September 30, 1923 to Elwood and Helen Heritage. Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Karen and her husband, Tom Spence and Brenda Steward; grandchildren, Michelle and her husband, Todd Chaikin, Brian and his wife, Marina Spence, and Melanie and her husband, Fred Joiner; and her great granddaughters, Hailey and Kelsey Chaikin, Olivia and Ava Spence, and Naomi and Erika Joiner.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ira Steward; son, Ken Steward; brother, Ford Heritage and her parents. The family will be receiving guests from 5-7pm on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:30am on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. Immediately following the service will be a reception, followed by interment at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in memory of Barbara Steward.
