Beverly Bibee Gilmer, age 89, of Knoxville passed away Friday, February 8, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was a longtime member of 2nd Presbyterian Church of Knoxville, where she was active in several women’s groups. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and became a registered dietician. Beverly was an avid reader and a member of several book groups.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Edith (Davis) and Bev Bibee, and her husband James M. Gilmer. She is survived by her sons, James Gilmer of Rockville, Maryland, William (Brice) Gilmer of Knoxville, and David Gilmer of Townsend, and her sister, Edith Vance, also of Knoxville.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends at 2nd Presbyterian Church, 2829 Kingston Pike on Wednesday, February 13 at 1:30 followed by receiving of friends.
