Robert was born April 25, 1934 in New Britain CT. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and retired in 1992. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the Air Force.
He married Irene Korzeniecky and they made their home in Burlington CT.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and would do anything for his family. He was a man of infinite skills and knowledge, and with a life fully lived he loved nothing more than spinning a tale to anyone who would listen. He was an accomplished carpenter, photographer, as well as a world traveler. There wasn’t a subject in existence he didn’t have a story or a cautionary tale for. His accomplishments, both big and small, will live on forever.
He is survived by his three daughters Cynthia Arnold, husband Gino Arnold; Eleanor Brenner, wife Sherry Shippee; Robin Comeau, husband Richard Comeau, as well as his granddaughters Kelly Doty and Kristin Welch. He leaves behind his cherished partner Eleanor Plante.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, Feb 13 2019, 4pm-7pm at New Britain Memorial. Funeral service will begin at New Britain Memorial on Thursday, Feb 14 2019 at 10am, followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to The American Lung Association.
