Charles “Bop” Taylor, a lifelong Autauga resident, passed away 2/19/2019. Funeral services will be held on Friday 2/22/2019 Ridout’s Prattville Chapel at 2:00 with Pastor Ken Warren officiating. Visitation will be at Ridout's Prattville Chapel on Thursday 2/21/2019 from 6:00 until 8:00.Burial will follow in the Prattville Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Taylor was born in White City, Autauga County, Alabama on August 26, 1927 to the late Charlie Taylor and Lena Cleckler Taylor. He retired from Gurney Manufacturing with 50 years of service. He enjoyed farming, fishing fast cars and spending time with his family. Generations of Prattville families looked forward to the Christmas season when the outside of the Taylor home would be decorated and lit in a special way that attracted many people from all over. Mr. Taylor will always be remembered for his hard work, love and dedication to his family. Also for his faithfulness to his church New Day Church of God and willingness to help anyone in need. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Timothy Dale Taylor, a granddaughter, Hope Terrell, a brother, Buster Taylor and a sister, Nell Logan. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Frances Taylor; a daughter and son in law, Diane and Ricky Oates; a son and daughter in law, Mike and Carla Taylor; three grandchildren, Tracy White (Jamie), Tonya Terrell(Riley Nelson), Nikki DeLoit (John) ; four great grandchildren, Josh White, Steven White, Lexi DeLoit, Lacey Terrell; one great, great grandchild, Jozy White; two sisters and brothers in laws, Thelma Hunt (Harold), and , Velma Bice (Clyde) and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Kevin Silvey, Ken Respess, Robert Browder, JJ Hood, Bill Logan and Riley Nelson. Honorary Pallbearer: Terry Seale
