Guerry Becton Isler, 76, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at his home in Mobile, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Becton and Hattie Lou Isler. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Juanita Staehle Isler; niece, Shelia (James) Lambert and their two girls, Lexie and Brooklynn; as well as numerous cousins and other cherished family and friends.
Guerry retired from the National Guard Reserves, the Army Reserves, and the Civil Service. He was an avid golfer, a classic car and NASCAR enthusiast, and loved to travel. He spent a lot of his time building model ships, boats, and submarines. Guerry enjoyed traveling and going on vacations. He loved spending time with his friends and family, always found a way to help someone, and was very involved in his church. Guerry also had a strong attachment and love for Boston Terriers – he had always owned a Boston Terrier since he was a child.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Snow Road First Baptist Church in Mobile, with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West on Snow Road.
