Louis served his country proudly as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. After leaving the service, he returned home to New York. He went to school, got married, started a family and worked several jobs until moving to Las Vegas in 1965. In Las Vegas, he started a career as a blackjack dealer, which he did for 41 years. He met, dealt to, and knew many a celebrity thru the hey-day of Las Vegas. He was fond of telling humorous stories of these encounters and his family and friends loved hearing them.
He loved to golf, go bowling, take vacations, and his Dodgers (both Brooklyn and L.A.). But more than anything, he loved his family. He had a big heart and an open home to anyone at any time. His thoughtfulness and generosity were second to none. He was truly a wonderful man whose likes are seldom seen.
He is loved! He will be missed! He will never be forgotten!
