Ann Mary (Martinko) Camuso, 95, of South Dennis, MA died peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Rosewood Manor in Harwich. She was the loving wife of Patsy G. Camuso. They would have celebrated 70 years of marriage in May.
Ann was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Mihok) Martinko, she was born and raised in Peckville, PA and was a devote Roman Catholic.
Ann was a homemaker, she and Patsy raised their family in Dedham, MA. They summered on the Cape since 1960, before purchasing their South Dennis home on Bass River where they've resided fulltime for the last 21 years.
Born to Slovakian immigrants Ann embraced her Italian in-laws’ traditions and recipes. Grammy’s gravy and meatballs were amazing. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and chocolate. She loved nature, South Village beach and sunsets on Wilbur Cove.
Above all else, Ann cherished spending time spoiling her grandchildren. Her beautiful smile and infectious laugh will be missed, but not forgotten.
Ann is predeceased by her siblings; Sister Mary Flora, Sophie (husband John) Futej, Michael and Joseph (wife Clara) Martinko. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Paul (wife Cheryl) Camuso of Walpole, MA; Peter (wife Diane) Camuso of Norwood, MA and Jane (husband John) Donlan of Brewster, MA; her grandchildren Jennifer Camuso of Woburn, MA; Robert Camuso of Blackstone,MA; John Patrick (wife Kristina) Donlan of Easthampton; Alexander Donlan of Newport, RI and Christopher Donlan of Brewster, MA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will take place 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 15th at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134, South Dennis, MA 02660. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 16th at St. Pius X Church, 5 Barbara St., South Yarmouth. Burial will be private.
