My soulmate, Pam Walker Schatz (b: July 31, 1958 in Selma), whom the Lord made special for me, ended her journey on earth (d: March 10, 2019). She has been joyously welcomed into Heaven by her Savior, Jesus Christ, and many loved ones who have gone before.
Pam treasured life on our farm and being a shepherdess to our 8-Shetland sheep. She loved and guided them as her Shepherd, Jesus Christ, loved and guided her. The verses of the 23rd Psalms served as her daily inspiration for life.
Pam was a longtime member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church (PCA). She treasured worshiping with family and friends at Briarwood, where she also worked in the accounting department for decades and, most-recently, in the bookstore. Her life was truly centered around Christ, family and church.
She is survived by: me, her husband of 31-years, Clark Schatz; two sisters, Cam Guarino (husband Fred) and Kim Owens; aunt Sandra Boswell; sister-in-law, Pam Tomlin (husband Tom); nephews, Paul Schatz III & family, Chris Schatz & family, Brooks Tomlin & family, Mark Schatz & family, Noah Owens; nieces, Meredith Tomlin Thacker & family, Dana Schatz Pearson & family, Pamela Tomlin, Olivia Owens, Hannah Owens.
Pam and I have been truly blessed by a multitude of friends, who are like family. You have done so much for both of us through the years and, especially, during this past month. You have lovingly cared for us during this experience, which has made it a little easier and more bearable.
A simple graveside service will be held at Southern Heritage on Wednesday, March 13th at 11am. A larger celebration of life will be scheduled at Briarwood once I am able to attend.
In lieu of flowers, we request donations to the Faith Promise Pledge at Briarwood Presbyterian Church. Donations are tax deductible and go to World Missions, which Pam and I have been part of the team for many years.
