Martha Beggs Frazier went to her reward on March 12, 2019, after a lengthy illness. Martha was born in El Reno, Oklahoma, on February 6, 1937, to Nettie Bell Beggs and Archie M. Beggs, who both preceded her in death. She attended Northeast High School in Oklahoma City. Martha graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Master’s in Business Administration as both salutatorian and the only woman in her class. After turning down a seat on the Chicago Board of Trade, she taught accounting at Cuyahoga Community College in Ohio. When Martha moved to Oklahoma in the late 1970s, she was hired by Kerr McGee, ultimately working on international tax audits. At the age of 50, she passed her CPA exam with the second highest grade in the state on her first attempt. However, as intelligent as she was, her faith was even greater, and the family takes great comfort in knowing she is finally with her Lord.
Martha is survived by her sister, Margaret Beggs; her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Richard Doviak; her uncle, Cal Beggs; cousins Virginia Clarke, Karen Baldwin, Roberta Norris, Judy Hinesly, Lynn McManus, Brian Beggs, and Bruce Beggs; and her precious caregivers.
The family wants to express their deepest thanks to Frontier Hospice, and donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in Martha Frazier’s name are welcome.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Primrose Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at 2:30 pm at El Reno Cemetery, El Reno, OK.
