Jean was born to Edro and Eunice Snider in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He received his bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University where he played on the golf team. He served in the U.S. Army financial corp. in Indianapolis and was retired from the work he enjoyed as a commercial lighting representative. He was married to his loving wife Sue for 59 years.
Jean was known for his wit, needling of friends, and being a great story teller. He was an avid golfer who rarely missed a chance to play the game he loved. He came to salvation later in life and wanted to follow Jesus wherever that took him. He served in a prison ministry listening, praying and sharing the love of God with the inmates. He served in his church, First Baptist Downtown, and he loved his family well.
He will be sorely missed by his wife Sue, daughter Tammy, son in law Philip and 3 adored grandchildren William, Betsy and Charles.
