Eileen Mary Yeager, more famously known as “Nonni” was called home to the Lord and the love of her life, Dan on April 10, 2019. She was 68, born January 27, 1951 in Oklahoma City, the daughter to the late Harvey and Ann Huddleston, sister to the late Claire Anne.
She was a bright light to all who knew her. Eileen never met a stranger and treated all who were lucky to cross her path like family. Family was VERY important to her. She had five children in 10 short years, had a very successful career with American Airlines, did heaps of laundry, kept an amazing house, usually had something delicious going in the kitchen, always dressed to the hilt, and did it all with class, a smile and a spicy comment. Eileen was best known for her superb culinary skills and hosting large dinners for family and friends. She was an amazing hostess, setting beautiful tables, with attention given to every detail. Eileen had a true love of music and always had some great tune playing and ready for impromptu dancing and singing in the kitchen. She lit up every room she walked into and loved everyone in her life deeply and without judgement.
She married the love of her life, Dan Yeager, in 1992 and they began a vibrant and exciting life together with her 5 children and his two daughters. They were an inspiration to so many. Taking in numerous family members/ friends in need into their home. They cared for the elder family members till death with grace and love. Together they shared a love of travel, music, good food, wine, family and God. Devout in their Catholic faith, they served as Eucharistic ministers and as active church members. They especially loved to travel to Italy, as Eileen felt family roots there and loved everything Italian! Dan passed 2 months prior to Eileen, they did not know how to live without each other, a true love story.
Eileen will be deeply missed by her children, Jen, Marcie, Mike, Matt and Cat. They were her biggest accomplishment in life and they were her biggest fans! She was a fun mom, always having some event, dinner out or trip in the works. She supported her children in any endeavor. She listened with an open heart. She was there in the hard times and in the good times, always there for a good cry or a roaring laugh. Eileen made everyday life exciting. Her laugh, spicy sense of humor and positive outlook will always warm the hearts of her children and her 15 grandchildren she leaves behind.
