Sarah Julia (Jones) Davis

Sarah Julia Jones Davis, age 92, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on April 12, 2019. She was born in Anniston, Alabama to M.E. & Grace Jones. She graduated from Berry College with a degree in Home Economics and from Kennesaw Junior College with a degree in Nursing. She was a retired Registered Nurse. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts- mainly sewing crafts, such as quilting. As a member of the Alatoona Quilters Guild, she won many awards for her hand-sewn quilts. Sarah is preceded in death by Charles, her husband of 42 years; her son, Charles Morgan Davis, III; and her siblings, Marion Edwards Jones, Jr., Margaret Nan Brothers, Harold Gwen Jones, Billy Eugene Jones, Martha Jane Mullins, Alfred Roy Jones, Donald Lynn Jones, and Ronald Max Jones. She is survived by her children, Julia Ellen Davis and Bryan Neal Davis; grandchildren, Jennifer Marion Zschaber and Dennis Allan Hays, III; and great-grandchildren, Logan James Hays and Skyler Douglas Hays.

The family will gather this summer at a time to be determined to Celebrate Sarah’s Life and commit her to the family’s cemetery.
