Loveland resident Hilda McClure lived 94 years full of laughter and joy before passing away peacefully at home on Friday, April 12th, 2019. She was born in 1924 in Baltic, CT to Joseph and Marie (Hoffman) Hauschild. During WWII she worked in a woolen mill repairing khaki cloth for the army. After the war she married the love of her life, Milton McClure on May 9th, 1953 in Connecticut, and went on to become a nurse’s aide at McKee Medical Center in Loveland for 17 years. She was a member of the LifeSpring Covenant Church for 51 years. Hilda was preceded in death by Milton, who passed away from Mesothelioma in 2001. She loved to tell jokes, and could be found on any given day reading, crocheting, knitting, coloring and solving puzzles. Her family knew her as a card shark, always beating everyone at any game they played, even up until a few months before her passing. She loved her pets and owned a series of Bichon Frises throughout her life. Hilda is survived by her two daughters, Susan McClure and Acacia Madorin, and her granddaughter Megan Madorin.
Her memorial service will be held at LifeSpring Church in Loveland, CO on May 1st, 2019 at 11:00am. The family invites you to come celebrate Hilda and her incredible life.
