Annette Bartolic was called home on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Birmingham, Alabama surrounded by family after courageously fighting acute myeloid leukemia (AML) for almost 3 years. Annette was born on October 16, 1952 and graduated the Ida V. Moffet School of Nursing in 1973 where she then enjoyed a long career as an RN for 45 years. She was known for her love of the beach and travel, was an active and faithful member of Meadow Brook Baptist Church. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, and a wonderful friend who was loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Steve Bartolic and her parents Charles and Myrtle Segrest. She is survived by her two children, Ashley Bartolic and Austin Bartolic (Jessica), brother Charles Segrest, sisters Angela Clemmons and Amy Cosgrove, as well as her 2 grandchildren, Sawyer and Grady Bartolic. A Celebration of Annette's life will be Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with Visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Internment to follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
