Evelyn Ruth Dennett

Evelyn Ruth Dennett, age 93, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 12, 2019. She was surrounded by her family. Born in Hamilton, she was the daughter of Stanley and Nellie Kochendarfer. On May 19, 1945, Evelyn married Murel Dennett. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was an active member of St. Peter in Chains Parish and was a Den Mother with the Cub Scouts. She was a generous person who loved her family and friends. She made an outstanding lemon meringue pie and was the partner to have in a card game. Evelyn was the loving mother of Sharon (Paul) Chandler of Hudson, Ohio, Murel John (Helen) Dennett Jr. of Hamilton, Gail (Jim) Budkie of Fairfield, Mary Ann (Tom) Shaver of Hamilton; grandmother of Mark, Mike and Matt Chandler, John Dennett and Jill Norman, Alisha and Alex Budkie and Ellen Withers and Andy Shaver. She was blessed with 13 great grandchildren whom she adored. The family wishes to express special gratitude to the staff of Bradford Place and Vitas Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Family Promise of Hamilton, P.O. Box 95, Hamilton, Ohio, 45012. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 224 Dayton Street, Hamilton.
