Lloyd Derrick Towles was born on January 24, 1962 in Newark, NJ. He was the son of Russell Lloyd Towles and the late Vivian Towles-Hargis. Lloyd (Derrick) went to the Reading School district. He was a great athlete participating in both basketball and wrestling. He graduated from Reading High School in 1980. He then joined the Army, serving his country for 3 plus years before being medically discharged. He returned to Reading where he then began to start his family. He worked for Berks Heim for several years. Lloyd (Derrick) was respected by many in his community. People who knew him also knew how funny and creative he could be. Lloyd leaves to mourn; his father, Russell Towles of Reading, his 4 children; Courtney Towles, Tyre Towles of Reading, PA., Kiya Towles of Robesonia, PA., and Dreyson and his wife Trisha Towles of Columbia, PA. His brother Brian Towles of Harrisburg, PA., eight lovely sisters; Christal D Carter, Lisa Ford, Leslie Cook, Kimberly Ford all of Reading, Mrs. Shannon and Anthony McKnight of Mohnton, PA., Candance Feliciano of Birdsboro, PA., Mrs. Amy and Marcus Pass of Leesport, PA., and Mrs. Tabitha and David Hall of Buffalo, NY. He also leaves to cherish his 6 grandchildren; Ashonti Towles, Tyre Towles, Jr., Jayliz Towles, Alayah Towles, Marah Towles, Brielle Towles, a host of nieces, nephews, and two good friends; Steve Jackson and Tom, several aunts, uncles, and an array of other family and friends. Lloyd (Derrick) Towles left this earth to join his mother on Saturday May 4, 2019. He will be greeted by many loving family members, as we his loved ones on this side, mourn the passing of a truly great man.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 11, 2019 from 12-2pm at 1728 Fairview St., Reading PA 19606.
