Edna Annalene Frank

Edna A. Frank, 93, passed peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, May 6, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK. Edna Annalene Lee Frank (“Shorty”) was born on November 7, 1925 to Edward and Rosevelt Lee in Subiaco, AR. After high school Edna traveled to Kansas to join her sister to work for a defense contractor. She returned home to Arkansas before venturing out to California to work in another defense factory as a “Rosie the Riveter” worker. There Shorty met Henry Frank Jr. They married on August 9, 1945 in Kingman, AZ. They settled in Oklahoma City.

She was a homemaker and helpmate to Henry for 33 years before his death on August 9, 1978. She was a devoted and loving mother of four children.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 5 siblings: R.C. Lee, Imorene Denton, Lacine Carter, Betty Crider and Sally Murray.

Edna is survived by four siblings: James “Jake” Lee and wife Sarah of Canyon County, CA, Rose Kerr and husband Charles of Little Rock, AR, Catherine Bridwell of Phoenix, AZ and Brenda Watson and husband Ralph of Ozark, AR. Also surviving are three sons Gary and daughter-in-law Glenda, Keith and daughter-in-law Susan and Phil Frank and one daughter Melissa and son-in-law Preston Smith and three grandchildren Lauren Bainter, David Frank and Taylor Gessell and husband Derek and two great grandchildren July Bainter and Pace Bainter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The service and burial will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home at 1pm on Tuesday, May 14th with burial following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73162 www.ChapelHill-OKC.com
