Rodney Heath Salser - “Rod” as he liked to be called, 43, of Okeechobee, Florida passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 surrounded by his family and the loving care and support of the Moffitt Cancer Center. Rod was a Master Carpenter by trade. His greatest passion was fishing. Muddy lake water ran through his veins as thick as blood. He was a protector of the environment and believed we should leave the earth better than we found it. Rod was a wonderful man that was dearly loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Although taken from this world way too soon; he enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a very compassionate man and a loyal friend.
Rod was born July 16, 1975 in Birmingham, Alabama. Rod is survived by his Wife, Karon Manfredi Salser, of Okeechobee, Florida; Mother and Pops, Robbie and Gary Cassidy, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; Father, Rodney (Barbara) Salser of Maylene, Alabama; two daughters, Michaela (Brandon) White of Springville, Alabama and Meagan (Dylan) Cherry of Remlap, Alabama; Step-Children, Adam Manfredi of Vero Beach, Florida and Taylor Manfredi of Okeechobee, Florida; his Granddaughter, Ava Renee White, of Springville, Alabama; Grandmother, Charlotte Craft of Trussville, Alabama; many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, countless friends and his fishing family.
