loved ones. Born on October 28, 1928 in Halifax, she was a loving and devoted daughter of the late
Mercedes and Guy Dauphinee.
Margaret attended Sir Charles Tupper School and Halifax Ladies College. Upon completion of her schooling she remained at home where she gave a lifelong commitment to the Wellbeing of her entire family. She was a member of St. James Church active in their ACW, a quietly competitive avid bowler and a volunteer at the Halifax Infirmary Hospital.
Margaret is survived by her sister Nancy Boutilier (Innes), sister-in-law Marilyn and brothers David in Riverview N.B. and Ken in Halifax and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, sisters Frances and Madelyn and brothers Robert, Graham and John. Margaret was truly a loving and caring daughter, an amazing sister, aunt, great-aunt, godmother and friend.
Family and friends were the most important part of her life to which they were blessed by her kindness, quiet humor and unconditional love. We wish to sincerely thank the staff of St. Vincent’s and The Berkeley for their compassionate care and nurturing our sister received and all the kindness you bestowed on her family.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 2668 Joseph Howe Drive, Halifax on Wednesday May 15th at 1:00pm officiated by Reverend Rachael Parker. A reception to follow.
