He was born on July 2, 1938 in Kansas City, KS the son of Julio G. and Eloisa (Mendoza) Castilleja. He moved to Kansas City, MO in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army. He was married to Deloris Bagby on March 19, 1955.
He was a member of Primera Igelisa Bautista, where he served as a Deacon, youth leader, and many other positions. Later, he became a member and Deacon of Tower View Baptist Church, where he helped with the AWANA program. He enjoyed music, photography, yard work, and working on vehicles. Most of all, he was very proud of God, family and country.
He leaves behind, wife, Deloris Castilleja; two daughters, Sandra West (Edward) and Debra Lance (Ralph); son, Pete Castilleja Jr. (Pamela); nine grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; brother, Arthur Castilleja Sr. He also leaves behind his fur baby, Bentley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernie and Benjamin; and three sisters, Esther, Elizabeth, Lydia.
