Orlando Fl.- Robert B. Garth Jr. 89 of Orlando, Florida died May 11, 2019 at Advent Hospital in Winter Park Florida.
Robert (Bob) was born December 10th 1929 in Proffit, Virginia to parents Robert B. Garth Sr. and Edith Thurman. He went to school and graduated from Stanley High School in 1947. After high school, he entered the Navy from 1948-1949 and served during the Korean War. He moved to Orlando, Florida in November of 1952. In January of 1953, he married the love of his life, Elaine Jobe of Luray. Elaine passed away in April of 1994.
He loved playing golf, bowling with his friends, and working in his yard. He moved into his home in 1952 in Orlando and lived their until his passing. He worked in various jobs including construction, a City bus driver, Goodyear and retired from Monroe Business machines. He was a great man with a kind heart and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Elaine, sisters Edith Wright, Mildred McCallister, and Francis Ann Conley St. John. He is survived by many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
At his wishes, a viewing will take place May 16th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Florida. His burial will take place in Beahms Chapel Cemtery following a funeral service at 11 am at The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Virginia on May 20, 2019.
