Joseph’s Hospital in Yonkers, NY. Raised until the 6th grade on Cranford Avenue in the Bronx,
he attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Grammar School in Mt. Vernon and then Our Lady of
Fatima in Scarsdale after the family moved to Westchester County in 1966. He graduated from
Scarsdale High School in 1972, and served for six years in the U.S. Marine Corps, including
service aboard the USS Enterprise in the Pacific. After a short break working as an electric
motor repairman in California, Anthony re-enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served as an
infantryman in the 82nd Airborne Division until a severe knee injury forced him from active duty.
After his military service, he worked with the MTA Metro North Railroad for many years as well
as Norfolk Southern, operated his own pest control company, and finally worked for Central Taxi
in Scarsdale before moving to Delray Beach, Florida in 2010. There he worked for the Parks
Department of the Boca Raton Sheriff’s Office until early 2018. Anthony is survived by his
Mother, Rose; his brothers Andrew, Stephen, Michael and Paul; his sister, Regina Fioto; his
nephews, Andrew and Thomas; and his niece, Kaitlin. ILO flowers, the family asks that you

their families.
A mass of Christian burial will take place at Our lady of Fatima (5 Strathmore Rd, Scarsdale, NY 10583) on Thursday the 23rd of May 10AM. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 22, 2019 from 4-8PM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery Valhalla NY.
