Lourdes was born in Havana, Cuba to Professor, Mathematician, Dr. Pablo Miquel y Merino and his wife, Eva Franca. She was the youngest of 11 children and the last survivor of the family. She was married to Charles Fradley from 1952 to 1959 and left Cuba to Miami in 1961. She later married Dr. Augusto De La Pena in Dallas, Texas in 1972.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father,10 siblings, Charles Fradley and Augusto De La Pena.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lourdes and John Foster, five grandchildren, Andrea Perkins (Eric), Amanda Fehlman (Pete), Johnny Foster (Jane), Michael Foster (Lya) and Matthew Foster (Rosie); seven great-grandchildren, Johnny Foster, Francie Foster, Dotsie Foster, Eva Fehlman, Mae Fehlman, Haggar Foster; great grand-daughter due in August; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lourdes will be remembered for her spirit, love of family, and life and her deep faith in prayer and St. Jude.

Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Hill Cemetery, North Chapel in the Main Mausoleum. Inurnment will follow.
