Dale was born in Preston, Idaho to Paul and Ora (Estenson) Lines on November 11, 1941. Dale grew up with his brother and sister in Idaho and later in Colorado where the family moved.
He met his first wife, Irene, in Colorado, when he was college-age. As their family grew, the couple would move to Wyoming, back to Colorado, Florida and then Washington. It was around this time that the couple divorced.
While in Washington, Dale met his second wife, Rose. Eventually they moved to Montana. They married in 1987.
Eventually the pair would travel to Arizona in the winter to get away from the cold. During their winters in Arizona, Dale would sell pumpkins and Christmas trees. Dale would tell you he met a lot of interesting people in this line of work.
In his later working years, Dale worked at Wal-Mart. In spite of his age, they kept him very busy, likely due to his strong work ethic.
When not at work, Dale loved to tell stories and to write. He published 2 children's books, Tails of Whiskers and Pals parts 1 and 2. He had also started a Sci-Fi book and a Western.
When not at work or writing, Dale loved camping and fishing, putting puzzles together and his cat Lizzie.
What Dale loved the most was spending time with his family and entertaining them with his stories, which they would always ask him to write down and could not get enough of.
Dale loved life and all of the experiences it brought him, he was even an ordained minister and a certified Reiki master.
Dale is survived by his daughter, Karla (Jeff) Anderson, his grandchildren Robert and Zachary, Britney, Bradley . great-grandchildren Jacob and Delilah, his brother Paul (Verna), his brother-in-law Don, numerous nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends.
We will carry his stories in our hearts.
