Pauladene Adele Rigamonti Schoener of Port Lavaca, Texas passed away on May 23rd at the age of 82. She was born the youngest of 5 girls in Victoria, TX August 6, 1936 to Charles and Francis (Arnold) Rigamonti and was a devout Catholic and loving servant to the Lord her whole life. She was president of Catholic Life Branch #55 for many years.
On January 28, 1961, Paula married her husband of 57 years, Anton Schoener. They resided in Port Lavaca where they raised their children and were actively supportive of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Paula was a competitive domino and game player and enjoyed playing at the Port Lavaca Senior Citizen Center. She was also known for making the best lasagna and wonderful cookies that were always available when guests stopped by.
Paula is Predeceased by her husband, Anton Schoener.
She is survived by her children, Theresa Spong, Frances Meador, Amy McCown, Kelvin Schoener, and Kay Gustafson; numerous grandchildren; two great granddaughters; her four sisters Mary Oldmixon, Charlaine McAnany, Shirley Mason, and Grace Rigamonti, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Rosary will be at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29th, followed by a Mass. The Church is located at 415 W Austin St, Port Lavaca, TX 77979.
