Marlene A. Bolin, 78, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away June 2, 2019. Graveside services will be 3:00pm, Friday, June 7, 2019 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112, with visitation time and a Rosary held from 1:00-3:00pm preceding the service in Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home. Following the graveside services, a Celebration of her Life will be held at the American Legion Post #199, 7942 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, KS 66109.
Marlene was born September 3, 1940 in St. Mary’s Kansas to Vincent and Evelyn Glick. She graduated from Bishop Ward High School in 1958. Marlene was married to Bob Bolin in the late 70’s. She worked in payroll for a variety of companies over the years. Marlene was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary for the American Legion, Post #199. Marlene was the self-deemed, “Queen of Leavenworth Road” – surveyor and purveyor of fine spirits, with a word of advice for anyone she met – whether you wanted it or not.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Bolin; and her brother, Jim Glick.
Marlene is survived by her sister, Kathleen Haworth; her sister-in-law, Margie Glick; her nieces and nephews, Christopher Haworth (Jodi), Jason Haworth (Anna), Tom Glick (Jeanie), Tony Glick (Diane), Terry Glick, Jamie Glick-Fleetwood, and Michelle Glick, as well as other relatives and friends.
