She was a faithful member of Primera Iglesia Bautista, Templo Bautista (Estrella de Belen), and Segunda Iglesia Bautista all of Corpus Christi.
She enjoyed quilting with the group of ladies of the church. The ladies would sell the quilts to raise funds for mission work and contributions to the church. She was also a Sunday School Teacher and also involved with the Women's Missionary Union of the church.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She will be missed for her care and love she shared with her church family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tanis F. Jaquez, brothers and sisters. She is survived by daughters and son, Ernestine (Henry) Jenkins, Elida (Carlos) Estrada, Esteban (Cynthia) Jaquez and Elva (Ted) Reeves, and a sister, Lupe (Frank) Moya. She also leaves to cherish her memory many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a Celebration Service at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
