It is with great sadness that the family of Joyce Denise Anciaux announces her passing after a prolonged battle with cancer on June 8, 2019. Her final passing was peaceful and free of excessive pain, being cared for by the staff at Richmond Beach Rehab Center. Joyce is survived by her sister Rima, brothers Marcus, Benjamin (Laura), Geoffrey (Barbara), Christopher (Cathy) and Kenelm (Terri), many nephews and nieces as well as many lifelong friends and coworkers. 60 years was far too short a time, we all miss her dearly, but know she is at rest and in a peaceful place.
Born January 16, 1959 in Seattle, Washington, Joyce earned degrees in English Literature and Accounting. Her work for Republic Services was a great well of pride for her, always problem solving; an extremely important member of the team, she will be sorely missed by all her dear friends there.
Joyce will always be fondly remembered for her world famous hugs! Anyone who received one can attest to the heartfelt love she passed on. She was preceded by her mother Enid Lucy and her father Kenelm Raymond, both of whom will be on hand to welcome her to Heaven.
We have scheduled a Celebration/Remembrance for Joyce on August 11th, 2019 starting at 2pm. It will be a family style BBQ with family and friends at brother Ken (Terri) Anciaux's home: 13310 - 17th Ave NE
Seattle, WA 98125
We will be providing Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, BBQ Ribs Potato and other Salads, Fruit & Veggies, Chips and Soda in an informal, family style gathering. Questions should be directed to Marc Anciaux at (206) 799-7639 (Cell).
All who wish to attend are more than welcome to help us share funny stories, memories, pictures and anecdotes from Joyce's life.
