Dan is survived by his parents - Agnes and Dominick Gaudioso; his brother, Thomas Gaudioso; his brother, Dr. Anthony Gaudioso and brother-in-law, Keith; and his nephews - Tommy, Casey, Zacharey, Matthew and Benjamin Gaudioso.
Dan loved animals, and always took good care of them. Over the years he had dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits and fish. He loved to travel and went to Europe, the Dominican Republic, Las Vegas, California, Florida and Canada. He loved to ride bikes, surf, sky dive, skate board and ride motorcycles, snowboarding and all active sports. Dan belonged to the Truck Club, and loved to work on his cars and motorcycles. When he would go to the Dominican Republic, he would give a bag of clothes to the poor. He would cut coupons from the newspapers to get food that he could donate to the poor.
These heartfelt words are written by his brother, Thomas..."My little brother. Danny! What can I say about him? Well, he followed in my footsteps. In many ways, good and bad! I remember a time I think it was, Thanksgiving, at my moms, so while at the table he starts talking about going down the steps on his snowboard or skateboard, I don’t remember which one it was, anyway, I say you do not do that or you can’t either way. He swore he could, so I called his bluff and dared him to do it, right now. And here’s where he took after me, he got his board and did it. Needless to say he broke his foot and “I” ruined the holidays. I’m going to miss getting you into mischief little brother. PS. He was in his 30s when this took place."
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home for visitation on Wednesday, June 12th from 2:00-4:30 and 7:00-9:30 p.m. The Funeral Prayer Service will take place at 8:00 p.m., by Deacon Phil Mills of Our Lady of the Assumption Church of Copiague. Cremation will be private.
