Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on May 4, 1982, he was the son of Patrick and Cathy Hanstein. He graduated from Royal Palm Beach High School. He recently enrolled in Lake Sumter Community College with hopes of receiving a BA in Psychology and ultimately becoming a counselor for the army. A decorated war veteran, he proudly served in the United States Army from February 11, 2004 to July 26, 2008. Sadly, his enlistment had to be cut short due to getting injured during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
Family meant the world to Patrick, especially his sons, Patrick and Logan. Many of times you could find him outside with them just messing around or partaking in a sport, either football or baseball. His many nieces and nephews appreciated his presence too. To them, he was considered "the favorite uncle".
Fishing was another activity that Patrick enjoyed. Being on the water always brought a smile to his face. He will be remembered for that huge, friendly smile. He will also be remembered for his big heart. He was a man that would literally give the shirt off his back to you and go out of his way to help.
Patrick was a funny guy. One who not only made others laugh but also himself. The laughter generated at gatherings was truly genuine. He was very headstrong, always trying to prove himself. A bit crazy and insane too, but who isn’t nowadays? There is no doubt that he is going to be greatly missed.
Patrick is survived by his two sons, Patrick and Logan; his parents, Patrick and Cathy; his three brothers: Christopher, Joey, and Jeffrey; and many nephews and nieces.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909 with interment at Fountainhead Memorial Park. The visitation will be held from 11:00 am to the time of the service.
