Rodger was born on April 19, 1932 in Stockton, California to Steven and Pauline Rodriguez. He was a devoted family man who always had a smile on his face. Rodger enjoyed drawing, sketching, playing his guitar. He loved his San Francisco Giants and the Raiders. He also enjoyed his vegetable garden. He was known for bringing one of his watermelons every time he came a loved ones home. Rodger passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 21, 2019.
Rodger was preceded in death by his beloved wife Estela Rodriguez, his parents; Steven and Pauline Rodriguez, and his siblings; Aniceto Rodriguez, Jessie Huizar, Marine Rodriguez, Phillip Rodriguez, and Rocky Rodriguez.
He is survived by his sons; Roger Rodriguez Jr and wife Teresa, Ron Rodriguez and wife Rebecca, and Don Rodriguez, his daughter Christina Urquhart and her husband Greg. Rodger also leaves behind his cherished companion Peggy Valadez, his sister Jennie Miranda, brother Steven Rodriguez and wife Jennie, his sister Frances Gonzales and husband Max, grandchildren; Stephanie, Lauren, Katherine, Melissa, Connor, Logan, step-grandchildren; Ruben, Brian, Michelle, and Bryanna, and his great-grandchildren; Raymen, Noah, Jasmine, Lorenzo, Estela and Travis.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Church 4636 W. Dakota, Fresno, California 93722 on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Rosary will be held at St. Mary’s Church on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at St. Peters Cemetery.
