A long-term community member of Charlotte, Casey was a proud graduate of West Charlotte High School and Appalachian State University where he studied Real Estate.
Following a 20-year career in real estate working side by side with his father, Casey pursued his love of food and took his mother’s family recipe to create what is now known as Penny’s Pimento Cheese LLC. His entrepreneurial passion led him to his next endeavor of establishing Carolina Commercial Kitchen, which is the largest commercial kitchen in the Southeast.
Casey enjoyed traveling, playing tennis, golfing, and most of all spending time with his wife, Peggy and their children. He is often described as a witty charismatic who has never met a stranger.
Casey is survived by his wife of 26 years, Peggy; daughter, Brianna Leigh Chauncey (Philip) of Durham; sons, Hunter Reid Brawley and Alec Camden Brawley, both of Charlotte; and brothers, Kirk Brawley and Chris Brawley, both of Charlotte.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 1st, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
