Albert was born on March 25, 1923 in Gaiberg, Germany just outside of Heidelberg.
He married the love of his life Margaret on November 8th, 1949 in Bammental, Germany and together they moved to Denver in 1950. They bought their forever home -complete with culdesac family- in Fort Collins in 1970. They had three daughters that they adored, Rosemary, Kathe, Denise, and a granddaughter Nicole that they cherished. Alberts great grandson Jack brought him the ultimate joy.
Albert was an Ironworker for Zimmerman Metals and a parts manager for Kumpf motors, Mercedes and finally Volvo.
He was a member of the ironworkers union and one of the founders of the Denver Kickers soccer league. Albert was a proud member of the Schralaffia and Edelweiss clubs. He loved and played handball, soccer and hockey.
He lived an amazing life full of unbelievable feats, miraculous recoveries and unimaginable events. He was an incredibly strong man.
Albert was known for his great sense of humor and love of his family and friends. He wanted people to SMILE. His sarcasm, laughter and quick wit will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on July 15 at 11:00 am.
The family is so grateful for all the love and friendships he had. We hope we can live a life as love filled and full as his.
In lieu of flowers the family has opened a savings fund for Jack, Albert's great grandson and a pure light in his life.
