After recently surviving a mild heart attack, complicated by congestive heart and renal failure, our father was on the road to recovery. However, on June 27, 2019 at 1:38pm, his soul decided it was time to depart this earthly realm. So it is with deep regret and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Clemente Gianan Ignacio at the age of 86 in Katy, Texas after succumbing to a second heart attack 19 days after his initial hospitalization.
Clemente was born and raised in San Jose, Virac, Catanduanes, Philippines by his parents, Concepcion Gianan and Clemente Sy Ignacio, Sr. He was the 7th of 13 siblings. On April 9th, 1959, he married the love of his life, Emeteria Aguilar, who broke his heart after 30 years of marriage when she passed away suddenly at the age of 57. Their years together were spent raising their children first in Dallas then in Alief,Texas where he worked as a piping/mechanical engineer then later became a business entrepreneur opening up import and export shops, hoping to make it big in order to support his family. Throughout the years, he and his wife were quite involved in the Catholic community participating in events for the Knights of Columbus and various Filipino cultural organizations.
