Dad was born March 5 1929 in Selkirk Manitoba where he was raised on the family farm.
Dad worked many jobs, from up in Canada's North, to working underground in the potash
mines in Saskatchewan, before settling in Winnipeg, retiring as a boiler maker at the CN Transcona railway yard.
Mom and dad spent their retirement at their cabin in Ottermere, for which they took great pride, before moving to Comox in 2004 to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Dad was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, June Komadowski, his grandchildren Paige and Nicholas, his parents Albert and Anna Komadowski, his brothers Micheal, Frank and Kasmir and sisters Sophie and Jean.
Dad is survived by his three sons, Richard, Randy and Joe (Corinne), his two granddaughters Rebecca and Sara, brother Johnny of Winnipeg, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
