Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Romeo G. Lacombe, Sr., and Josephine (Bell) Lacombe. Romeo was a lifelong city resident and he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Nabisco as a truck driver for over 40 years.
Romeo loved his family dearly, as family was everything to him. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.
He is survived by two daughters, Donna Makin of New Bedford and Gail Machado and her husband David of New Bedford; a step-son, Roger Pincince and his wife Ann of MN; two sisters, Claire Hazell and Rita Andrade both of New Bedford; ten grandchildren, Melissa, Eric, Laurie, Audrey, Jessica, Shawn, Kristine, Pamela, Greg and Kimberly; 15 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William Lacombe.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 8:30AM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford, MA.
