He was an avid baseball player was to go semi-pro but enlisted in the U.S NAVY to serve in WWll.
Upon the U.S.S...WAUKESHA he captained an amphibious boat that took soldiers to shore for battle.
Later marrying Eleanor Sewell and living most of his life in Alpharetta Georgia. They had animals of every kind and loved them all. Jim loved golf and played a good game most of the time. He lived his life in a place of "yes" and encouraged others to do the same. He lived a full life &was ready to go home to God.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Eva Garner, His two sons James Howard Williams and Ronald Theodore Garner.
Jim is survived by his wife Eleanor Sewell Garner, his daughter Susan G. Adamson (Bill); Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren: Lori H. Manus (Samantha & Max), Taylor Adamson, Kenny Williams (Lauren Grace), Christie Jordon (Brent, Rebecca, Larkin, and Andrew), Shane Garner (Susan, Cody, George, Jessica, Harper, and Grady) Stacey Agan (Nicki and Jaycee); and one sister Sybil Knox (Ben, Linda, Cynthia, Bob, and Cathy)
A family graveside farewell will be held in August around his birthday.
