William was born October 21, 1942 in Two Harbors, Minnesota to his surviving mother Margaret Theresa (Patrich) Scott and his father Anthony John Stanisich who passed away in 1997.
William graduated from Eveleth Highschool in 1960 and from Colorado College in 1964. William worked as a Credit Finance Analyst throughout his career of over 30 years. William was also inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame when he played hockey in high school. Throughout his life he did lots of traveling with his job, and also lived in many states such as Wyoming, Georgia, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, and finally retiring here in Garrison, Tx. He enjoyed his weekends to the fullest. Whether it be camping, fishing, or in his workshop making one of his many masterpieces.
William is survived by his wife Kathy (Calvert) Stanisich of 34 years. He is also survived by his 6 children, daughter Amy (Stanisich) Plasek (Houston), daughter Anne (Stanisich) Rudd and son in law Scott Rudd (Houston) , son John Stanisich and daughter in law Tracy (Krages) Stanisich (Houston), daughter Angela Allen (Waxahachie), son Bill Allen and daughter in law Serena (Mullins) Allen (Ponder), and son Anthony Stanisich and daughter in law Kimberly (Pate) Stanisich (New Braunfels)
William is also survived by his sister Carol (Stanisich) Oliver and brother in law Joe Oliver (Grand Rapids Minnesota), brother Anthony (Butch) Stanisich and sister in law Sue (Jackson) Stanisich (Hibbing Minnesota) William also has many surviving nieces and nephews and cousins that love him and will miss him.
William was preceded in death by his son in law Lee Plasek of Houston just days before his passing and his brother James Stanisich of Eveleth Minnesota in 2003
William has left his legacy through his 6 children, 22 grandchildren, and 12 great grand children that will live on forever. Rest in peace son, brother, husband, father, papa, friend. We love you and will miss you so very much.
The family will receive friends, Friday, July 12, 2019, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held, 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 13, 2019, First Baptist in Garrison.
