Our beautiful and beloved Concepcion "Connie" Z. Alcaraz passed away on July 3, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was 79 years old. Concepcion was born July 27th, 1939 in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico to her parents, Socorro Bejar and Juan Zayas. Growing up as a teenager, she moved to Tijuana, Mexico to live and care for her grandmother, Elena Bejar as she continued with her education. Once graduated she became employed by the judicial system and worked for a Supreme Court Judge. After some years, she moved to Los Angeles, California to be with her family and to further her education at East Los Angeles College. Soon upon arriving in Los Angeles, her childhood sweetheart, Jesus Salvador Alcaraz, which she affectionately referred to as "Chava", followed her all the way from Mazatlán, Mexico. As teenagers, they made a promise that if they were to find each other once again, they would never let each other go. They were happily married in August of 1962 and started their little family. They spent the rest of their lives residing in Alhambra, CA. Connie was employed by Sears, Roebuck and Company for over 27 years as an Executive Secretary. Later she became employed by Alhambra Unified School District and retired after 17 years as an Administrative Clerk II. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters, Connie Alcaraz Salazar of San Gabriel and Esther Alcaraz Caballero of Alhambra; sons in law; Greg Salazar and Rene Caballero. Two beautiful granddaughters; Mireya Caballero and Alexia Salazar. Siblings; Elena Padilla, Manuel Zayas (RIP), and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding her in death was the love of her life, "Chava". She loved dancing, sewing, crocheting, board games and loved all kinds of puzzles - but most of all she loved spending time with her two treasures - her granddaughters, whom she adored! She will be forever missed and will always be in our hearts.
