Rosalyn Ruth Bruxvoort passed peacefully into the arms of her loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after being surrounded by the love of her family on July 7, 2019, due to the effects of Myasthenia Gravis a chronic autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness through the body including the lungs. She leaves behind a legacy of strong faithfulness and love to her Lord, family and friends.
Rosalyn was born in Long Island, Kansas on February 7, 1933 to Albert and Wilhelmina Walcott. In 1938, in the heart of the Dust Bowl and Depression, the Walcott’s moved to Denver to start over. It was in Denver that Rosalyn married her sweetheart Herm Bruxvoort on July 16, 1954.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 65 years, Herm Bruxvoort, four of five children, Barry (Barbara), Dan (Solange), Bryan and Shawna (Gary) with son Bruce deceased; and ten grandchildren Joshua (Brooke), Kristofer, Hannah Rose, Samuel, Megan, Shawn, Cherise (Matt), Steven (Chelsea), James and Nicholas, and 4 great grandchildren; Kaileen, Alina, Kelan and Brayden, as well as her sisters Darlene & Clarissa (Ken).
She will be dearly missed as a wife, mother, grandma and friend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Rosalyn may be made to Kairos Prison Ministry
