Jesus Najera Maynigo was born in Pangasinan, Philippines on May 11, 1961 to Arnulfo B. and Manuela N. Maynigo. He was the youngest of eight siblings: Gloria, Arnulfo N., Aurea, Manuel, Domingo, Armando, Saturnino and Carlos. At the age of 13, he migrated to the United States in June 1974 where he grew up in South Lake Tahoe, California. He later married his childhood sweetheart Myrna Espiritu on April 3, 1989. They had six kids together: Jena, Jerrod, Arnold, Jasmine, Angelo and Ariana and raised them in Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada. Jesus was a jokester who enjoyed making everyone laugh. He was also a handyman who could fix anything. He had a passion for classic cars, singing karaoke, playing poker, and was an avid sports fan.
On August 28, 2018, Jesus was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. After a long battle, he passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, Nevada, where he was receiving ongoing treatment. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and a friend who will be missed and in our hearts forever.
