Marie Culpepper Clower age 97, was born July 5, 1922 in New Hebron, MS. She passed away July 11,2019 at Grapevine Medical Lodge in Grapevine, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice E Clower Jr., Father Fulton Culpepper, Mother Bessie Culpepper , Brothers James Culpepper, Arthur Culpepper, and sisters Tina Mae Boynton, and Eula Sanford. She is survived by her only son John E Clower of Colleyville, Texas and wife Judy Clower, her grandson Jordan Clower and wife Amanda Clower, Melissa Gervig , Mark Gervig and 8 Great Grandchildren, Riley, Alyssa, Erik, Devon, Gavin, Jonah, Owen, and Zach.
She and her husband spent the first 20 years of their lives together traveling while Maurice was in the Marine Corps and settled in Jackson after his retirement in 1959.
Marie spent over 40 years attending Parkway Baptist Church in Jackson where she and her husband were very active. In addition she taught kindergarten for over 20 years at Parkway. She loved teaching and the fellowship of Parkway Baptist Church. She also worked for Nejam Properties where she managed Morning Side Terrace Apartments. She loved building relationships with any and everyone during her lifetime. She will be missed by her family and friends in both Mississippi and Texas.
Visitation is at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland Ms on Sunday, July 14th from 3pm-5pm with burial and graveside service at Lakewood Memorial Park on Monday, July 15th at 10:00AM.
