Born on June 17, 1936 in Boston, he was the son of Francis J. and Anna F. (Laws) Noonan. Mr. Noonan was raised in Boston and graduated from Boston College High School in South Boston. He studied business administration at Newbury Junior College and earned his Journeyman Plumber’s license.
Mr. Noonan served in the Marine Corps from 1956 to 1958. He worked for Polaroid for over forty years, starting as a machine operator assistant, and later as the lead plumber/pipefitter. Upon his retirement from Polaroid in 1995, Mr. Noonan continued to work part-time in South Boston for many years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 57 years, Joan Agnes (McCarthy) Noonan; devoted father of Paul F. Noonan of Norwood, Kenneth W. Noonan and his wife Linda J. of Norwood, Lisa M. Koch and her husband Glenn A. of Stoughton; loving brother of John P. Noonan of South Boston; proud grandfather of Casey A. Noonan of Norwood, Robert F. Noonan of Norwood, Justin V. Koch of Stoughton. Also many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
He was predeceased by a brother, Robert F. Noonan; and by his sisters, M. Claire Coyne and Anne M. Burke.
