A self-employed Painter and Carpenter, Denis was a member of the Painters Union, Local 691 in New Bedford. A Harley Davidson enthusiast, he enjoyed riding his Shovel Head Harley, Westerns and playing golf.
He is survived by three daughters, Wren Charbonneau of New Bedford, Corinne Medeiros of Westport, Breanne Charbonneau of Dartmouth; three brothers, Richard and Thomas Charbonneau both of New Bedford, John Charbonneau of CT; three sisters, Estelle Tardi of CT, Terry Charbonneau of FL, Rachel Charbonneau of CA, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lorraine Maciel, Michael and Marc Charbonneau.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 121 Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford. Visiting hours Friday, August 2, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00PM in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Contributions in his honor may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
