He was born on March 18, 1934, in Jersey City. He worked as a roofer, sheet metal worker, and handyman for more than 40 years. He loved his cars (both real and model), cameras, clocks, watches, Westerns, and above all, his family and friends. He was extremely gregarious, often starting up long conversations with total strangers wherever he went.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Sylvia, and his beloved dog, Pebbles.
He is survived by his life partner, Sandra Hirsch of Bradley Beach; his son, Adam (Elizabeth) Glazer of Gaithersburg, Maryland; daughter Hillary Glazer of Florida; Ms. Hirsch’s children, Richard (Jill) Hirsch of Bridgewater, and Dana (Michael) Oxhorn of Jersey City; Ms. Hirsch’s grandchildren, Taylor and Amanda Hirsch; sister Adele Lerner of Freehold; and nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
Services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapel, 2130 Highway 35, Ocean, New Jersey, at 1:00 pm.
Interment will immediately follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 250 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, New Jersey.at 2:30 pm
He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
